The SD pheasant population is at it's best!

We anticipate a great hatch in 2003. We hunt wild birds on over 3000 acres. Food plots, standing corn, grass nesting sites, and sloughs have helped our area maintain an abundant population of wild birds.

In past years we have raised birds to the coloring stage and turned them loose into the wild;

we have planted hens in the spring for added chicks to the wild hatch. Nothing compairs to hunting "truely wild birds". They are smart, fast, and can make your heart flutter as hard as their wings when they take off.

We rotate our hunting parties so we do not over hunt our land. If for some reason the weather is too tough to hunt or the birds are just too wild, you will get an honest update on the conditions before you make the trip, to ensure a great hunting experience.

Bring your gun, ammo, friends, co-workers, dog, family, spouse - not necessarily in that order but plan for fun! As the weather in South Dakota is unpredicable it is good to pack so you may dress in layers.

We welcome you to come enjoy our hospitality - good home cooked meals, our western but modern bunkhouse, and great Wild Bird Hunts. We are not a hunting preserve.

The season starts the third weekend in October every year and runs through December.
Opening Weekend: October 18, 2003

We have enclosed a link to the SD Game Fish and Parks web site so you will have up to date information on the seasons, licence fees, and regulations.

Here at the Ranch we welcome you to customize your hunt. If you have special needs we will try our best to meet those needs to ensure a most memorable hunt.

Three day four night hunt package includes:

breakfast every morning, a field lunch, and a hearty home cooked supper -
let us know if you have any special dietary needs
professional guides
certified interpreter for hearing impaired
kennels for your dogs
clay pigeons to warm up with
transportation to and from the fields
transportation is available from the local airports to the ranch as well,
(with prior arangements)
bird processing by hunter or arrangement
a blaze orange hunting cap
and of course
WILD RINGNECK PHEASANTS

Rates start at $330.00 per gun per hunting day plus 5% South Dakota sales tax. Bring ten of your friends and you hunt for free. Call early as the time slots fill up fast.

Private rooms available - call for info.
Corporate packages available.

Non hunting guests are welcome; please inquire when booking your hunt.

A 50% deposit is required.
We accept Visa / Mastercard.

This is our Basic Package. Please call and reserve your dates early. We are flexible and can add extra days. Just let us know your needs; we are here to provide you with a safe, fun, relaxing hunting experience.

White Tail Deer are very abundant in this area. There is never a dull moment during deer hunting season. "Come experience it!" This winter we are seeing herds of 100 head per bunch. We offer archery deer hunts and a limited number of rifle hunts. Please check early with the SD Game Fish and Parks for licence information for Spink County. Licenses have to be obatained through the SDGF&P for big game hunting in South Dakota prior to the hunting season. Deer hunts at the OJ Ranch are $1500 per 3 day hunt. Call for reservations.
